Soft Tone Farmhouse Tablescape

Hello friends. Today I’m thrilled to be sharing my version of a soft tone farmhouse tablescape.  It’s simple, easy to pull together and modern.

What I love most about the farmhouse style is that it's never stuffy.  This style of decor is always inviting, cozy and casual.

One of my tips for creating a casual farmhouse table, is to keep the dishes neutral.  White or creamy plates are always on trend for farmhouse and cottage style decor.  Consider mixing vintage with modern designs to keep it fresh and updated.

To keep it casual and friendly, incorporate a few unexpected pieces.  Incorporate pitchers, baskets and galvanized buckets.  And we know that nothing says rustic farmhouse more than galvanized metal.  On my table, I used a large galvanized containers as flower vases.  To give them a bit of softness, I added flowers soft-toned flowers which bring a bit of a romantic detail.

When setting a farmhouse table, we can't forget ticking stripes!!  They go hand in hand and are truly the stars of farmhouse decor.  I love these blue and cream place mats and runners from Pottery Barn but they can be found in multiple places these days.  They work perfectly with the rose tone flowers!

Now, let's talk about the silverware.  You don't need to be matchy-matchy.  This is a great way to showcase your vintage silverware collection!!  It will sit well with this farmhouse tablescape.  Brushed silverware would also work well with the soft hues of this table.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with how my soft-toned farmhouse tablescape turned out.  Truth is, it's quickly become one of my favorites!!!   I hope you've enjoyed the pretty pictures and that I've inspired to give this trend a try! I love the simplicity and charm of this decor style. What do you think?
Thank you for your visit today.  Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Janet
