Soft Tone Christmas Tablescape

Hello friends.  Happy Sunday to you all.

Christmas decorating around the house is almost done and I have to admit that I am not as energetic as I used to be.  Perhaps it is a combination of work, the commute, housework and blogging.  It is really catching up tome!!  So I have decided to keep it simple and just decorate the two main public rooms in the house which are our living room an dining room.   There is no need to go overboard.  After all, Christmas is about spending time with family and friends and creating new memories.

That said, shades of pink, creamy white and twinkly silver have been my preferred color palette.  Especially around the holidays. Over the years, I have been able to gather a decent collection of soft tone ornaments, linens and dinnerware that are not only romantic but timeless.

I am passionate about linens with ruffles, romantic prints and floral details.  And when the opportunity allows, I take the time to treat myself to some alone time to enjoy these cherished pieces that fill my heart with so much joy.

I just love how candles instantly add warmth and create ambiance as flowers evoke romance.  With this place setting,I wanted to bring that emotion.  It's delicate and alluring. The pretty ruffled pink napkins are from Pier 1.

These striking scalloped edge plates from Lenox are not vintage but will definitely become future heirlooms.

Thank you for visiting me today.  Have a beautiful week.

Janet

  5. Hi, Janet! You are so right, sister...there is precious little time these days for everything we feel like we "have to" do. A lot of it is just self-imposed work that can be pared down to better fit our new lifestyle and time constraints. You did a fabulous job of it! The soft colors are so pretty, and it has a truly romantic look about it. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Enjoy!!!
