Thanksgiving Farmhouse Breakfast Tablescape

Hello everyone.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had a house full of family yesterday and my heart is filled with joy and so much gratitude.  But I do have to admit, I am exhausted today.  As much as I love Thanksgiving, it is a lot of work!  And this tired girl is going to take a day this weekend to do absolutely nothing.

With Thanksgiving behind us now, making plans for Christmas is in full swing.  As much as I look forward to gathering around the dinner table with our family, planning for out-of-town guests is just as exciting.  So many details to take care of!!!  Shopping, house guests, cleaning, cooking... It's all happening way too fast.  And as hectic as it all sounds, it's a process that I dearly appreciate.  I take pleasure in the  craziness that the holidays bring..  Including entertaining!

That said, today I am excited to be collaborating with Lenox to bring you this fun and charming farmhouse table that I styled for our family post-Thanksgiving breakfast this morning using one of their newest patterns Aspen Ridge.  And can I tell you, this pattern  is already becoming a favorite.  It's fresh, clean, and ideal for everyday use. Aspen Ridge is not only dishwasher and microwave safe but ALSO freezer and oven safe - and can also be elevated for any special occasion.

But beyond that, white plates are a must for any home.  They are timeless and allow you to mix and match with other patterns, glasses and napkins.  More importantly, white plates allow your food to stand out.  I immediately fell in love with the pitcher and pasta bowls from this collection.   Versatile and attractive!

With this tablescape, I wanted to show you that you can achieve a fun and modern farmhouse table with everyday dishes and items that you already have in your home.  No need for fresh flowers here!

Here are few tips for creating your own casual farmhouse table.

Create a Theme:

Clearly, my theme for this table was a Fall Farmhouse breakfast

Gather All Your Basics:

  • Place Mats
  • Dishes
  • Flatware
  • Napkins
  • Table runner
  • Glasses

Centerpiece:

Harvest vegetables artfully displayed on a platter look beautiful, add color, are inexpensive and can become part of a another meal later.  You can tuck in a few fresh greens from your yard to add a bit of texture.

Add Ambiance:

Candles are key for creating ambiance.  Bring a few votive candle holders, and pillars to add warmth.

Add an Element of Surprise:
  • A simple pumpkin can be an eye-catching detail that sets your place setting apart which is what I did here.  I just love how it brings a country feel and fall vibe to the table.
  • Whimsical napkins are terrific for a farmhouse table and these napkins decorated with farm animals couldn't be more picture-perfect.

Accessorize:

Use things that you already have around the house to decorate your table
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • Bread Sticks
  • Fruit
  • Water bottles
  • Cake

You get the picture.  It's all about using your imagination.

I especially like this Aspen Ridge pattern because it can be dressed up or toned down.  It's durable, dishwasher safe and a go-to for those that love to entertain.

Thank you for visiting me today.
