Chocolate Mousse Cake

One of the sweetest holidays will be here in just a few weeks and if you are looking for a delicious chocolate dessert that will wow your significant other or friends this Valentine, I have the recipe for you.  This Chocolate Mousse Cake Recipe by Beth Le Manach of Entertaining With Beth is the ultimate chocolate lover's dream.  It's creamy, rich, decadent and absolute heaven!!! The cake may look fancy but believe me, it is not difficult to make.  The hardest part of this recipe is allowing enough time for the cake to set up (which is about 4 hours so be sure to plan ahead).  Once you look at the recipe and watch the tutorial, you'll see that none of the steps are too difficult.  Once done, you will have one incredible looking cake that is sure to impress. Here are photos of my finished cake!!!   See recipe below and for a   step-by-step tutorial of my chocolate mousse cake recipe you can watch the video below Step

Decorating with Lacquered Boxes

I love accessorizing our home!!!  Once the paint color is on the walls, window treatments are up and the larger pieces are in the room, it's time for me to have fun with the room.  Think of it as adding jewelry to the room...  It's what brings a room together and a great way to add interest to a room. One of my favorite items to use to decorate are lacquered boxes.  They come in a ton of varieties and styles and they look gorgeous stacked with books, vases and other interesting items.  They can be used to dress a bare table, fill an empty spot or to brighten up a room.  And these days, they can be found everywhere.    Here are a few of my favorites from Pinterest and my own home.    Always keep your eyes open.  Who knows when you will come across that unique piece that will help you finish your room? Thank you for stopping by and  Happy decorating!!! Janet

For this table, the dominating color palette is blue and white.  Frankly, blue and white never gets old for me.  It is always a perfect combination.  Since my small accent plates are pale blue, I chose to layer powder pink and white plates to compliment their delicate beauty. When it comes to mixing patterns on  tablescape, do not worry about getting it wrong.  Just be sure to vary the scale!  If you are using a floral accent plate then use a neutral tone dinner and salad plate to ad
