Fall Home Tour 2016

Hello friends... I hope you are all having a great week.  And now that fall is officially here, let me begin by wishing everyone a happy and warm autumn. Today I am sharing a little tour of our homes fall décor.   Let me begin by welcoming you to our  home.   I am so happy to have you here.   I hope that you will find a bit of inspiration here.  Fall is by far, one of my favorite seasons.   Crimson leaves of all shades come together to create a majestic brown and gold foliage like no other.  The cool crisp mornings, pumpkin spice lattes and endless amount of fall activities are all magical to me.   And of course, my favorite part is decorating our home for the autumn season. I do like decorating our home in the traditional autumn colors. There is a certain warmth and comfort that these earthy tones bring to a home.  Truth is, I think our little pooch Max loves these colors too. Fall Gatherings ~ Cheese & Wine At The Shore

Hello friends, Welcome to my blog today.  I am glad you are here. As you all know, I love entertaining family and friends.  Especially during the fall season but as we all know, planning and shopping for the occasion can still be a bit stressful.  So when I want s tress free entertaining, I turn to a simple cheese and charcuterie board.  A quick trip to my favorite supermarket and a little time spent creating a visually interesting display is all you need to put together a sophisticated cheese platter. Last week, we spent the weekend with my sister-in-law at the Jersey Shore. Having such an incredible view of the Shrewsbury River, I could not help setting my cheese and wine course in the open air. And who would pass up the opportunity to gather in such a dreamy spot. It was easy to relax here. To bring a close to stressful week and repose.  Laughter and conversation flowed effortlessly in such a serene and peaceful setting.  To connect with nature and people we love.

With summer now coming to a close and fall making its entrance, I am excited to welcome the season for family, friends and cozy gatherings.  There is a certain warmth that comes with earthy tones of fall and the cool and crisp that it brings.  I always look forward to the laughter and conversation that happen around the table.   With that in mind, I put together my first tablescape for this fall season.  Nothing pretentious or too pretty.  Just an everyday table setting with a French Country theme using all my favorite earthy tones of fall to help inspire you with your autumn gatherings.  And of course, this will be a mini series on fall entertaining... You'll find that I have layered mismatched dishes, used a rustic centerpiece and a mustard table runner.  I am proud to say that I made the black and white checkered napkins myself.....  A NO sew project that was fairly easy to do.  I hope you pull up a chair t
