Philadelphia's landmark Shane Confectionery is considered the oldest continuously run candy shop in the United States. Established is 1863 by candy making dynasty Herring and Daniel S. Dengler. It remains a beloved fixture of the historic downtown district of Philadelphia. Today it is owned by brothers Ryan and Eric Berley. The Berley Brothers have lovingly restored the shop to its original beauty and charm. Cabinetry has been restored and painted in the same color scheme as Independence Hall .
