Fresh Apple Tea Lights

Happy Sunday all.  I hope you all had a great week.  Today, I want to share an easy DIY project using fresh apples.  These fresh apple tea lights are such a gorgeous idea to decorate a fall or Thanksgiving table.  Inexpensive and so simple to make. All you need are a few fresh apples and a few tea lights.  How easy is that??  They are always my go to for adding a fall touch to any table.   I used red apples for this project but you can use any color you wish.  Be sure to use a firm apple for this project.  It will make cutting out the middle much easier.  I also try to pick ones that are similar in shape and sizes. Romantic Fall Tablescape

This beautiful autumn day brings a little romance in the air.  A sweeter and softer color palette. I do love the bold colors of fall.  Those fiery reds, oranges, greens and golds do hold a special place in my heart.  And who doesn't love a warm and beautiful plaid throw with the colors of fall. But I cannot help my romantic heart.  I am charmed and completely seduced by the beauty of roses. And so this table celebrates autumn with a soft powdery color palette.  Pink, cream and warm rusty browns are perfectly combined to create this transitional and romantic table, with a bit of vintage charm. It is a full-scale romance which I am happy to admit. Can you imagine yourself sitting here??   Such simple pleasures. Dream away.... Thank you so much for visiting me!!!! Janet

Fall Evening Tea & Pumpkin Cake

Good evening to you all.  I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.  Fall is slowly making its entrance.  There is a nip in the air and trees are once again ready for their spectacular show. And I am once again ready for those sweets autumn evenings...Ready for nature's bursts in colors of gold, forest greens and rusty oranges. Falling leaves and cozy afternoons perfect for enjoying light conversation and warm cups of our favorite beverages. So today I am paying tribute to the start of fall with this late afternoon tea time setting. Hydrangeas from my sister-in-law's pretty garden at the Jersey Shore make their way to my home. I love how the rusty colors on the hydrangeas are echoed on these charming tea cups by Johnson Brothers in the Harvest pattern. As the days grow shorter and the evenings a bit cooler, the warm glow of candles make the transition into fall a little easier creating the ideal setting for celebrating autumns beauty.

Autumn Inspired Tablescape

Hello everyone.  Happy Sunday to you all.  The East Coast has been hit with heavy rains and strong winds the last few days but today, we awoke to a dry Sunday.  My heart goes out to those that were affected by the major floods.  Today, I am sharing a colorful table that celebrates autumn's rich colors and beauty.  As you can already tell, I love to entertain.  It gives me great joy to gather with family and friends around a table that is a feast of colours, textures and most importantly, tastes.  There is something very special in making family and friends feel welcomed and creating an inviting ambiance.   My table begins with a runner in hues of orange and cream followed by straw placemats for my base. Orange dinner and salad plates topped with a green pumpkin patterned accent plate.  Brownish stemware, flatware and napkins. A pretty floral arrangement made with flowers that echo autumn's beauty.  Which by the way were purchased from my trader Joe's.  T
