Quiet Moments
Hello all. What a beautiful week it's been. The weather has been perfect the past few days. And my weekend trip to New York was amazing. We had the greatest time. And did I mention lots and lots of walking. So many fun and interesting stores and the food. Amazing. But I will share a few shots of my time there on a future post.
And of course, it's been another busy week around here. Getting everything in order before my Mom's arrival tomorrow. She is visiting from Florida and will be staying with me for a week. I am so happy to have my mommy here with me. I can almost smell the aromas of her cooking through the house already. So comforting and so much happiness... My heart is filled with joy.
As I get ready for the busy week ahead, I took a few moments to relax and enjoy a little bit of silence. And so I gathered few pretty porcelain pieces, fresh flowers from my garden, hot water for my tea and made my way to my bedroom. My hide away. My cozy haven. I love to steal a few moments to enjoy an afternoon nap in my room. It is such a peaceful and tranquil space. The colors are light and soothing. The linens soft and pristine... Such simple pleasures......
Have a great weekend....

ReplyDeleteTrust me, your mom will remember those sweet touches you made for her. My mom still remembers the time she came to visit me in Cleveland and I greeted her at the airport with flowers. I thought it was just a simple expression of "welcome" but for her it meant so much more! The same will happen with your mom. Enjoy your time with her.....
