A French Country Fall Tablescape
Hello everyone. I hope you all had a relaxing weekend.
With summer now coming to a close and fall making its entrance, I am excited to welcome the season for family, friends and cozy gatherings. There is a certain warmth that comes with earthy tones of fall and the cool and crisp that it brings. I always look forward to the laughter and conversation that happen around the table.
With that in mind, I put together my first tablescape for this fall season. Nothing pretentious or too pretty. Just an everyday table setting with a French Country theme using all my favorite earthy tones of fall to help inspire you with your autumn gatherings. And of course, this will be a mini series on fall entertaining...
You'll find that I have layered mismatched dishes, used a rustic centerpiece and a mustard table runner. I am proud to say that I made the black and white checkered napkins myself..... A NO sew project that was fairly easy to do.
I hope you pull up a chair to join us. Cheers to a happy and delicious autumn season.
First step in to cover your table with a plain white tablecloth. Then for contract and textured, you can add a pretty table runner such as the mustard tone I used on this table. Place your matching placemats to give your table setting punch. Now begin layering your plates in similar colors. This is where you can have lots of fun. Be creative. Add your glassware of choice. I love these amber goblets. They are so versatile. Finish with flatware and colorful napkins.
