Creating a Cozy Guest Bedroom

Hello friends.  I hope your week is going well.

Today, I am sharing a few photographs I took in one of our guest rooms last Saturday.

I seldom play favorites when it comes to rooms in our home but I do have to admit that this guest rooms is one of my favorite rooms in the house.  I find it very peaceful and cozy because of the soft and soothing colors in the room.  Mostly creamy tones with relaxed fabrics that are pure comfort.

So every now and then, you will find me enjoying a few private moments in this space.  Almost feeling like a guest in my own home.  Is that a silly thing?  So I added a few pretty hydrangeas from my garden and enjoyed the scenery.  Read a little, had a treat and even took a little nap.

It is no secret that I have a little obsession with pretty china.  Just looking at these beauties makes me smile.  It is all about simple pleasures and a bit of pampering.

Most of the time, it is family and friends that enjoy this lovely room.  And they do get spoiled when they come to visit.  It is about creating a tucked-away retreat dressed with lots of vintage pieces, welcoming trays and pure comfort in the bedroom.

They often call our home their getaway, the pretty bed and breakfast.

I hope you had a few relaxing minutes with me here.  Thank you for visiting.

Hugs,

Janet

  20. Janet, it is a gorgeous space and I can see why you would want to relax in there. I am just in the process of putting one of our guest rooms back together after moving our king mattress down there. We bought a new one and now that room went from a queen to a king and I've got a bit of vamping to do. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
