Random Saturday Inspiration

Happy Saturday to you all.  I am stopping by for quick hello and to share a little random inspiration on what has turned out to be another brutally cold and snowy day.  The only good thing about these extremely cold temperatures, is that spending all this extra time indoors allows one time to work of those projects and household chores that have been put aside or just plainly forgotten.

One of those tasks I been putting off was sewing a couple of pillows and valances for my sun room. The makeover of the room is almost complete.  I am just working on the finishes right now.  Those beautiful objects and details that bring a room together.  And my husband is working on a radiator enclosure for the old, but still very functional, radiator in the room.  Little magical wonders from the past that keep our older home cozy and warm.  I can't wait to share the makeover with you all.

And as the winter chill whistles outside, I hope that these serene and sweet images bring a little warmth to your heart and inspiration.

How are you spending your Saturday???

Wishing you a beautiful weekend.  Thank you for visiting.

Fondly,

Janet

  1. I spent the morning putting around in my back yard and watering the pots that I planted yesterday with some pretty Fox Gloves, Santa Barbara Daisy's, and a few others that I love. The roses in the back are just starting to bloom with many many buds on them. They were deadheaded later than the front yard. So that's what I was doing today. I started cleaning out my guest bedroom closet, OMG what a mess.
I love your pretty rose dishes, they are beautiful. I dearly love roses and have over a 100 bushes.

I am looking forward to seeing your guest room make over. I need to re-freshen up mine also..
Stay warm and cozy in your lovely home, mine is 60 years old so I know what your mean about keeping up with the house.
Have a wonderful Sunday watching all the glitz and glamour of the Academy Awards.,

  2. It's only been a week of non stop snowing and very cold temps and I have cabin fever. I have been working on some sewing projects myself.

  3. Lovely romantic roses, in the vase, on your china and the soaps, wonderful.
I´ve been spending my Saturday indoors and paying a visit to my parents in a nursing home. It was a boring Saturday because it rained cats and dogs. Today it´s bright and sunny again and we had ground frost. So bad for the garden, which was so wet and now icy.

    Enjoy the weekend!

As I live in South Africa where we are preparing for autumn, we don't have any snow at all... But this Saturday passed, we experienced a lot of rain which suited me just fine because I got to make lovely pancakes! Perfect for a rainy day!
Your photos are so beautiful - I love the pearls! And the tea cup is simply beautiful:).
Visiting from Roses of Inspiration today - it is a pleasure to meet you, Janet!
    Much love and blessings,
