Winter Days

Happy Tuesday everyone.  How are you all dealing with these extreme cold temperatures.  The grey days sure make everything seem cold and dull.

These are the perfect days to enjoy our homes.  To relax and enjoy a little me time.  To create a bit of beauty and sunshine of my own.  For planning our future projects, organize and even dream a little.

Love my Homer Laughlin Eggshell china.  It always takes my breath away.

Vintage silver always complements this lovely china perfectly.

Vintage linens and a handmade napkin ring of my own design adds a touch of romance and elegance to this tableau.  (Napkin ring available at http://www.napkinringbling.com/

I can never resist a sweet treat.

A gorgeous tea set received as a gift from my husband.  It is so elegant.  I love its simplicity and clean lines.

This is how I unwind and plan for the year ahead.  How do you relax???  Have you made plans for 2015?   Will you be working on new projects soon?

Our largest project has been designing our web page and creating all the handmade napkin rings for our online store.  It was a huge undertaking but I am proud to say that it is finally done.  There are many other plans for 2015 and this is definitely a great start.  So if I have been absent from your blogs lately, please forgive me.

I hope you all have a week full of accomplishments and loveliness.

Janet

  2. So very many pretty things on your table. Life needs more times to sit and relax and enjoy. Your table would be a lovely place to sit and chat a while. I would find it calming to look at all the beauty.

I have that same set of Homer Laughlin China. A few years ago I lucked into a full set including serving pieces. I love the robins egg blue. So soft and perfect for Spring. You have inspired me to get mine out.

  6. Janet, your china really is so pretty and the silver tea set is lovely! I would love to be able to make those cookies with the jam in them but I don't make a lot of cookies here. The napkin rings are sweet and I wish you much success with them. Thank you for coming to tea with me this week.

  19. This is so beautiful! I love the way you set a table! This would be so pretty for Valentine's Day. I have some similarly colored though different patterned China. I love China, and most of it I've found used, because people just don't want it anymore. xoox

  20. Janet,
Beautiful table scape!! I have the same exact Homer Laughlin china set that my mother in law gave me several years when she went into assisted care living. It was her wedding china and I just love the soft colors in the pattern and use every Easter and Spring.
