Fall Home Decor

Hello to you all.  I hope your week is going well.  For me, it is busy as usual.  Lots of family gatherings and of projects to complete.  But it is also an exciting time of year.  With plenty of seasonal decorating to do.

I love decorating for fall.  The colors and textures are warm and make a home feel cozy and inviting. I don't go too crazy but I do like to add a few pops of autumn colors throughout my home.  Simple works better for me.

A few natural elements add instant texture and warmth.  A seasonal piece adds whimsy to my decor without detracting from the overall harmony.

A few pops of autumnal colors in floral arrangements is an easy way to bring some of the outdoor colors inside.

I love to add a bit of texture with cozy throws throughout our home.

I love the colors on this accent pillow.

My favorite pheasant proudly displayed on our dining room table.

Family photos always make a house a home.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour of my fall decor in our home.  Thank you for visiting me today. May you have a blessed week,

Vintage Beautiful

Hello sweet friends.  It is finally Friday....  Oh how I love my weekends.  Especially after a very hectic and tough week.   But it looks like the weekend will be a pleasantly wonderful one.  I am looking forward to going to the annual cranberry festival in Chatsworth, NJ tomorrow which should be full of lots of activities and fun.  And I hope your weekend is a fun and happy one too.

Today I am sharing a few pictures of my tea for one.  If you follow my blog, you know that I am crazy about vintage china.  For years I have been a collector and I now have a pretty large collection of plates and tea cups that I love to use on a regular basis.  My favorite ones to collect are the floral patterns in pastel colors with pretty feminine details such as the Homer Laughlin Eggshell Chateau pattern featured below.

And with all the craziness of daily life, I always try to give myself that bit of time to unwind with a little sweet treat and a cup of tea or coffee.  It just does wonders for me.  I find it very relaxing in creating an elegant and feminine escape for enjoying a few quiet moments.

I always have fresh flowers around the house.  They always make me happy.

Lovely vintage linens are always a must.  They add instant elegance to any table.

This lovely napkin ring was custom made from a cameo jewelry piece purchased at Michael's.  Isn't this the perfect feminine accent.

So delicate and romantic.

Sometimes we deserve to take that extra step to turn an ordinary moment into a little magical celebration.  Thanks for visiting me today.  I am so glad you came.

A Little Fall Inspiration

It's fall again friends.  Nature is bursting with gorgeous colors of autumn.  Perfect cool evenings that invite us to enjoy the simple pleasures of a soft throw and a warm cup of tea.  Our favorite thing to do right??

Autumn is all about coziness, rustic pieces and comfort.  Layering rich colors and creating tranquil and intimate spaces.

I love to embrace falls color palette with hues of burnt oranges, yellows and  browns.  This Spode china in the Fleur-De-Lis pattern is my very favorite for autumn.

Dried hydrangeas in various shades of green and rustic accessories are perfect for decorating around the house.  I love to add texture and color to our home.  It adds a certain warmth and charm that is welcoming and inviting.

Perfect shade of brown.

Cool autumn nights are perfect to delight in a cup of tea.

Thank you for visiting.  Enjoy the beauty of fall.

New Flea Market Finds

Happy Sunday to you all..  Last week I visited a local flea market in Lambertville, New Jersey and came across a vendor that had the loveliest vintage linens.  Oh my, was I like a kid in a candy store. So beautifully pressed and elegant.  Almost like little masterpieces.

The allure of vintage linens is inspiring and undeniable..  They add a timeless and romantic style to any table.  Finding place mats such as the ones above is unexpected and a true treat.  Ageless beauty and charm.  Detail and design is how I spot a well-made piece.

I purchased three sets of place mats with matching napkins and two round table toppers.

To me, it is about creating beauty and preserving the past.  To use old treasures in new ways and using one of a kind pieces to add timeworn appeal in our home and unexpected charm to my designs.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I am truly grateful.

Wishing you a restful Sunday.
