The Beauty of Roses

My roses have definitely arrived.  And they are in their full glory in my garden.  Soft tones of reds, creams, yellows, peach and pinks are all competing for attention.  They have taken over the fence around the back of our home.  It is an amazing site.  An explosion of buds, petals and blooms all over my fence.  All I can do is seat back and enjoy the show.

So romantic and graceful.  A true Queen in her garden.  I love to cut them and display them around the house. There is something so comforting and magical about roses.  They just fill the heart with happiness and instant romance.

Pitchers are always my favorite way to display them.    Nothing formal or fancy.  They are stunning on their own.  Here are a few I cut early Saturday morning.  I could not help snapping a few shots.  I hope you enjoy the show.

Wishing you a wonderful week.  Thanks for coming to visit.  Your sweet comments always make me smile.

Hugs,

Janet

  3. Oh Janet your soft sweet pink roses are to DIE for gorgeous!

I so wish my roses were doing well - winter took its toll and I am not seeing many blooms yet.

I don't have this kind of rose - do you know the name? I LOVE IT - the perfect rose in my opinion.

    1. Thanks Michele. You are so sweet. We had a very tough winter here too but fortunately, my roses and peonies were strong enough to survive the winter storms. The roses are so incredibly abundant with blooms this year. It is a true blessing.
The one rose featured here is a blush spray bush. I love the color. So delicate and feminine.

      Have a great week,

      Janet

    1. Hello Patty. You should definitely have a few rose bushes in your garden. They are such a gift to have and look at. The rose featured on this post is a blush spray rose. It is about three years old and it is spectacular. Each year the plant gives more and more blooms.

Thanks for visiting. I do wish you a wonderful week.

  21. Janet, your roses are gorgeous and I love the pitcher! Using pitchers instead of vases is one of my favorite things to do also. My roses are starting to put on a show, but they are all still small. Took quite a beating last Winter. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
