Garden Lunch

It is a beautiful Sunday here in the Northeast.  It looks like spring has finally arrived my friends.  And what a sweet and colorful feast for the eyes.  Color has certainly taken over the garden.  Pinks, lilacs, creams, whites and yellows are all competing for attention in my garden.  As a profusion of buds, petals and blooms explode and give life to the garden.
But today, yellow is the color chosen to elegantly grace my table.  It is set for a lovely lunch in the garden.  Yellow tulips take center stage on this sweet table.

Floral salad plates accent my place setting adding beauty and color to the table.  A lovely yellow napkin finished with a flower napkin ring is the perfect accompaniment for the setting.

Can you picture yourself sitting here enjoying a delicious garden salad or mimosa???

The garden is a work is progress.  We are always adding something new and colorful each year.  We love lots of color in our garden.  Mainly soft and soothing colors.

It is such a pleasure to be able to cut flowers from your own garden.

Plate chargers painted in yellow.  So beautiful and fresh.
It is incredible what a bit of paint can do.
White dinner plate from Pier 1.  This is such a simple and pretty pattern.
It is one of my favorite patterns.

Here is the finished look.

Isn't wonderful to be able to create ones visions.  To follow our own hearts.  It is like creating magic.  An appreciation for things beautiful and a way of living with a little grace and romance.

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.  Thank you for coming to my garden.

Fondly,

Janet

  24. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful table! How ever did you find yellow polka dot napkins to match your floral plates so perfectly? I love your dish stack (I have that Madeline pattern as well and love the soft scallop to the edge) and all your complements ( your small crystal vases and flowers!). It is such a welcoming and happy table. Who wouldn't love to sit there and enjoy it?! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

    1. Thank you Rosie. Your sweet comment has truly made my day. I did not find polka dot napkins anywhere. I bought the fabric and made them with the help of my sister-in-law. The scallop plates are one of my favorite dishes. Thanks again for visiting. So glad you came by.
