Afternoon In The Garden

Hello world.  Happy Friday... And what a gorgeous day we have been gifted with this lovely day...It is sunny, bright and with the most pleasant temperature.

It is nice to be back after a little break from blogging.  It was a much needed break.  It is sometimes a little difficult to keep up since my full time job demands a lot of my time and it was just becoming a bit overwhelming for me.  So please forgive my absence and a heartfelt thank you to those of you that reached out to tell me that I was missed.  I was so touched by this sweet gesture.  I consider myself very lucky to be part of this great blogging world.  It is full of amazing and kind hearted angels that give you a little lift when you don't even know you need it.  Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And so today, I was truly inspired to grab my camera and create a charming table in a cozy spot of the garden to enjoy a sweet treat.  It was perfect to enjoy a warm cup of coffee with a delightful strawberry short cake that was calling my name.  Oh sweet goodness..  And I am so fortunate to have a hubby who is never embarrassed to sit at my girly tables to share some quality time with me.  Bless his heart because I drive him crazy with all my projects and ideas...

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  Please enjoy the photos.

  1. When Sweet Mister taught me how to steer a speed boat, he advised me "Only drive as fast as you are comfortable." I've taken that wisdom and applied it to so many things. I think that your break must have been a healthy choice for you, and it must have been good because you've showered us with such beautiful inspiration this week in your post. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  3. What a lovely tea setting, the strawberry shortcake looks yummy. I understand where you are coming from, work can take up most of our time. I guess blogging is a nice way to just forget about everything even for only couple of hours. You have such sweet husband, like mine he's very understanding too.

    Welcome back.

  4. What a lovely setting! I could sit there for hours just taking in the scenery and enjoying that delicious strawberry shortcake! It is nice to step away from the blog sometimes. I usually do it once my girls come home from college each summer. I love spending that time with them and not focusing on my next post. This is truly beautiful!

  5. A lovely post...

But the best part is, that you enjoyed your blogging break. And that you took it, when you knew you needed it.

    Wisdom!

  21. Your tea-scape is so pretty!! I love all the pastel colors. You always have the most beautiful dishes!! I took off time from blogging, too, although not for working...I just retired!!! My garden is keeping me busy but I'm getting back to it this week. I'll try and whip a table scape but it won't be as pretty as this! Hope you had a restful weekend.

I know what you mean about keeping up. I think it is especially hard in the summer, but in the winter I don't seem to have anything much to share :)))
