It is a very nice weekend. Weather is just amazing.. I have been cleaning the house and organizing the all my china. I am running out of room. My collection of vintage treasures keeps growing.. But I think it is time for a break.. I put a good day's work. And a lovely dinner with my sweetheart sounds like the perfect way to enjoy the rest of the evening.
I wanted to make it special.. It is Saturday night you after all.. So while organizing my basement, I came across my Spode Delamere dishes and thought they were just perfect for the occasion.. I also had a set of beautiful and delicate Irish placemats and napkins that my sister-in-law Lilly brought me from her trip to Barbados.. These will certainly be the main characters and inspiration for my table this evening. I want easy elegance. Pretty crystal, elegant flatware, candles, a good bottle of wine. You get the idea. Great reward for a very productive day.
Here is my interpretation of a perfect evening with my hubby...

Beautiful, who wouldn't want to have dinner at this table!
