This week, I am staying away from the typical fall decorations and tablescapes. I think I need a bit of inspiration. All this gloomy weather is really getting to me. So I am following my love for flowers to bring a touch of nature's light, color, energy, and beauty inside the rooms where I live.
Because of my enthusiasm for flowers, I decided to create a Ladies Brunch with a bit of a Victorian touch. And so I dreamed up this gorgeous feminine table. The perfect excuse to have a festival of rose pink, greens, sparkling crystal to give the occasion a magical touch, beautiful feminine linens and of course roses and pearls in every turn... It is a great setting for fun and girlish conversation.
I think a gathering with friends and family is always worthy of your finest china and pretty presentation and the perfect excuse to create a beautiful table...
I started with a table topper which I bought a few years ago at a craft show. Then placed a crochet runner found at a local flea market. It is just lovely. I am lucky to own such a piece. The plate chargers, napkins and dinner plates are from Pier 1, salad plate are vintage Theodore Haviland Limoges, small saucer is Martha Stewart by Wedgwood, crystal coupe was purchased too long ago at a flea market, Goblets are Mikasa - French Country Pattern, and flatware is from Sur La Table. The finishing touches are pearl napkin rings from Home Goods, mother of pearl Salt and Pepper shakers and tortoise salt cellars were provided by my fabulous sister-in-law Lilly. Crystal Jam holders flea market find.

Hi Janet. That is one of the prettiest tables I've seen in awhile. Who wouldn't love to sit down and take part in a wonderful meal there. Each piece is absolutely splendid, but all together it is just amazing..Happy Sunday..Judy
ReplyDeleteHi Janet! With more than usual time on my hand to peruse through the internet while waiting for "Sandy" to come ashore....
ReplyDeleteThe table looks awesome! I agree with you, while I love the rich colors of fall, I prefer these colors, and the festive colors of Christmas. I can just imagine your tablescapes for the future holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Your readers are in for beautiful and elegant eye candy, that I've had the priviledge to engoy for so many years!
Be safe with the storm heading your way....
Lilly
