Cream Color Fall Tablescape

Hello my blogger friends.  I hope everyone had a wonderful and creative weekend.  I just returned from a wonderful girls day in New York looking at wedding dresses for my beautiful niece who will be getting married next year.  What a magical moment it was for me.  I was so honored to be part of such a precious and meaningful time in her life.  It was certainly a day full of wonderful emotions, excitement and great memories.

I am also excited about my new blog design.  I think it captures exactly who I am and Karen at Valentine Design's did a fantastic job.

Now that the first signs of fall are here, it is easier to settle in and embrace our outdoor surroundings with textures and fabrics.  As the Palette of the landscape turns to shades of crimson, sienna and umber, it is easy to get inspired by the colors in nature and design everything aroud these classic shades.  For me, however, the beauty and serenity of this time of the year inspire quiet relaxation.  So to capture some of natures splendor, I am beginning with earthy textural elements and neutral creamy tones just to show that a fall palette does not have be just shades of greens, yellows and oranges only.

Enjoy  your visit and please leave me your much appreciated comments.

  1. What a lovely and serene tablescape. I love the French pillow in the background, and the little white bird figure. The green wine glasses are very pretty as well. This looks like a place where I could sit and enjoy a meal and leisurely conversation--how wonderful to think of it!

  3. Dear Janet:

What a lovely weekend we spent together at the shore, and special bonding as you joined us looking at Wedding dresses for Adrienne in the city. It will forever be a priceless moment.

Also priceless, was getting back home from New York, and being one of the first ones to have a "sneak preview" of your new blog!

As your sister-in-law, and one of your first fans...I am in awe of your creativity and inspiration with tablescaping.

Keep up the great work and beautiful ideas flowing.

    Luv,

    Lilly

  15. What a beautifully serene setting! I love the toned down palette of your table design. I'm a fan of both strong and calm colors, so I can easily drum up an appreciation for either. On a day like today when I'm trying VERY hard to rid my mind of clutter so I can plan for next week's tablescaping class, calm totally works for me! :-) The fabric used in the placemats, runner, and napkins really make a big difference. They complement without being matchy-matchy. Very nicely done! Congratulations on your new blog design, too! It works really well with your blog name. Have a great weekend, and Happy Autumn!
